Newham Circuit consists of seven churches, all within the compact, ethnically and culturally diverse London borough of Newham.
Here is breath-taking city life and culture: London Olympic Park, Arcelor-Mittal Orbit, the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park (since re-developed as a tech hub), one of the largest urban parks in Western Europe, the Olympic Bell, the Woolwich Ferry, DLR & City Airport, Emirates Air Line Cable Car over the Thames Royal Victoria Dock, Thames Barrier Park Memorial, view from Balfron Tower, Roller Derby at Newham Leisure Centre, Lee Valley VeloPark, Woolwich Foot Tunnel, and Greenway (an amazing traffic-free shortcut through East London to Stratford and the Olympic Park – wide enough to ride along at a comfortable pace without having to avoid pedestrians too much).
Newham's cosmopolitan population lives, works and trades side-by-side. It blends tastes, traditions and artifacts from the Indian sub-continent, and all over the world, among various faith groups. People are at the heart of everything we do in Newham, which is a place to be and to become.
The Circuit has 435 members (with close to 1000 people on the community roll) served by three presbyters. The Circuit is supporting, equipping and encouraging local churches and individuals to realise their role in community services and in God's mission through worship, discipleship, learning and caring.
